Loano

Loano est une commune de la province de Savone dans la région Ligurie en Italie.

Histoire

C'était le chef-lieu du comté de Loano, un fief impérial, de 1547 à 1770.

Le 23 et 24 novembre 1795 ici se déroula la bataille de Loano entre les troupes de la République française d'un côté et ceux du Saint-Empire et du royaume de Sardaigne de l'autre. Les Français remportèrent la victoire.
