La couche présentation du modèle OSI
La couche présentation utilise les services de la couche session, et offre ses services à la couche application par une traduction des informations en un langage commun.
Elle s'assure de la compatibilité en vérifiant que l'information envoyée par la couche application d'un système sera lisible par la couche application d'un autre système.
Nous pouvons trouver à ce niveau une gestion de cryptage ( sécurité ) et de compression.
