Thornberg Kinderling, petit agent d’assurances à lunettes de Centralia, qui n’aurait pas fait de mal à une mouche, qui ne disait pas un mot plus haut que l’autre, qui n’aurait pas bronché si on lui avait marché sur le pied, avait assassiné deux prostituées dans la Cité des Anges. Il a été arrêté grâce à Jack, et il purge à présent la perpétuité dans une prison de Californie.
