De 464 à 64 ARD,le Royaume du All-World (le Tout-Monde) est démantelé, et lui succède l’Affiliation des Baronnies, plus fluctuante.

La Baronnie de la Nouvelle Canaan, dans le Monde de l’Intérieur, est le pivot de l’Affiliation. Cette baronnie, et son centre névralgique Gilead, sont dirigés par les pistoleros, descendants d’Arthur l’Aîné.
