En 1800 ARD, les Grands Anciens finissent par s’entre-détruire dans des guerres nucléaires. Ils disparaissent de la surface de la Terre.

La société humaine se décompose, et les anciens savoirs se perdent. Privés de l’entretien des Grands Anciens, les Rayons et toutes les installations technologiques commencent à se dégrader.

Des mutants errent dans les Terres Perdues. C’est le début de l’Ère des Ténèbres, dans l’Entre-Deux-Mondes.
