Lucan (Leamhcán en gaélique signifiant "lieu des ormes") est une petite ville de la banlieue ouest de Dublin dans le Leinster

Elle appartient au comté du sud de Dublin et elle se situe à environ 16 km du centre

La ville est située au confluent des rivières Liffey et Griffeen.
