Un pomba (RDC) est un jeune des rues de Kinshasa, souvent assimilé à un délinquant, qui pratique les arts martiaux

Par extension, un pomba est aussi toute personne qui extorque les biens ou l'argent des passants, confondus parfois aux dévastateurs qui perturbent l'ordre public

Généralement, ils se tiennent dans les coins de rue ou des couloirs de Kinshasa

Il devient aussi un qualificatif de ces personnes qui s'imposent dans un domaine ou une situation. Exemple: Pomba Bengazi, Pomba Leader, etc.
