Le jeu consiste à compléter une grille par des chiffres en les trouvant par déduction ou par calcul
Les noms Calcudoku ou Mathdoku sont parfois utilisés par des personnes qui n'ont pas les droits pour utiliser les marques KenKen ou KenDoku.
