Gilgad est la capitale du royaume de Rinkitink. La ville se trouve sur la côte de l'océan Nonestique.

Le palais du roi Rinkitink est situé à Gilgad sur un promontoire rocheux. Avec ses hautes tours, il sert de phare pour guider les marins vers le port. ( Rinkitink en Oz )
