Ce n'est pas un très grand pays, il est situé près de l'océan Nonestique. Toutes les maisons et le palais du roi sont construits près du rivage. Les habitants aiment faire du bateau et pêcher, et la richesse du royaume provient du commerce le long de la côte et avec les îles voisines.
Rinkitink est séparée d'Oz par une bande du royaume de Nome et un désert de sable. L'île de Pingaree est à quatre jours de voyage au nord. ( Rinkitink en Oz )
