Angl : Most Significant Bit.Fr : bit de poids le plus fort.

Désigne le bit le plus significatif, il est situé le plus à gauche et sa valeur est considérée comme la plus représentative, car la plus élevée.

Exemple :
Pour 4 bits, le MSB représente la valeur 8, alors que l'ensemble des 4 bits à 1 représente la valeur 15.
