Définition de «CGI»

CGI
Angl : Common Gateway Interface (CGI).
Fr : Interface commune de passerelle.

Technologie inventée en 1993, permettant l'exécution de programmes spécifiques situés sur un serveur, dans le but de renvoyer le résultat à un navigateur Internet.

Attention : un programme CGI est copié au moment de son exécution, ce qui peut entrainer un dépassement des capacités du serveur.
