Deux vétérans de la guerre de Bosnie, un Américain, un Serbe, s'affrontent dans le désert des Rocheuses. Ford est un ancien soldat américain qui a combattu sur le front en Bosnie. Il s'est retiré dans une cabane isolée dans les bois, en essayant d'échapper à des souvenirs douloureux de la guerre. Le drame commence lorsque Kovac, un ancien soldat serbe, cherche Ford, en espérant régler un vieux compte. S'en suit un jeu du chat et de la souris dans lequel Ford et Kovac se livrent des batailles à la fois physiques et psychologiques. De vieilles blessures sont ouvertes. Les souvenirs refoulés remontent à la surface. Et des secrets enfouis sont révélés…
