FDDI
Angl: Fiber distributed data interface.

Interface normalisée par l’ANSI, qui est destinée à la transmission de données à haut débit supportée par des réseaux à câbles optiques, à topologie en anneau (double anneau à des fins de sécurisation du réseau) à jeton à sens antihoraire. Souvent utilisé comme backbone (épine dorsale d’un réseau informatique).
