Peru est un lémurien qui fait partie du peuple Kibanara et est une âme pêcheuse convaincue, contrairement à Kauri. C'est elle, qui toute seule sauve in extremis Ekhara de la noyade. Kauri raconte à des enfants kibanaro comment son âme pêcheuse s'est éveillé en elle. Elle ressent une grande fierté monté en elle quand on voit l'admiration que lui porte ces enfants pour son histoire.
