Les plaintes de parents de jeunes lecteurs, que cette amitié suspecte entre un jeune célibataire et un préadolescent choque, finiront par convaincre Martin d'abandonner ce personnage. Celui-ci réapparaît toutefois brièvement dans L'Oasis et El Paradisio.

Son surnom vient tout simplement d'un jeune garçon qui habitait à côté de chez Jacques Martin
