Pendant le vol de Nassau vers New York, Eddie (qui sert de mule pour Balazar), commence à être en manque et se rend dans les toilettes, au moment où Roland, sur la plage, entre dans son esprit.

Roland prend d’abord le contrôle d’Eddie lorsque ce dernier est endormi ,et il arrive à parler à l’hôtesse. Par la suite, il reste à l’arrière-plan de l’esprit d’Eddie jusqu’à ce que ce dernier se rende aux toilettes.
