Muriel had been engaged to Mark for six months when he was suddenly sent to Pamanya in South America. Later she received news that he had drowned in a fishing accident. For a year, Muriel saves up to visit Pamanya to say goodbye. But she is shocked when she sees a beachcomber named Ricco who looks just like Marc. He makes repeated attempts to get rid of her, but she later discovers he is an agent on a mission to uncover a spy ring operating there.
