Luciano Queiroz est mieux connu sous son nom de plume de Luke Ross. Il a commencé sa carrière en tant que directeur artistique dans une petite agence de publicité. Il dessine plusieurs comics pour le marché américain. Sa première commande est une mini série "Blood is the Harvest" pour Eclipse Comics. Il a changé son style et a encré "Lost in Space" et "Quantum Leap" pour Innovation Publishing. En outre, il a fait des bandes dessinées érotiques pour le marché brésilien. Ensuite il collabore à DC avec Gen 13 et pour Marvel avec Uncanny X-Men et Spectacular Spider-Man. On le retrouve chez Valiant avgec Harbinger et chez Malibu avec Freex et Codename Fireman. Il poursuit en parallèle une carrière d’illustrateur pour des quotidiens comme la Folha de Sao Paulo et Estado de Sao Paulo. Il est aussi présent dans les pages de la version brésilienne de Heavy Métal, ainsi que dans UFO, Lillo, Veja et Placar.
