On the morning of her wedding day, Josiane receives a telegram from her fiance telling her he has met someone else and can't go through with the wedding. When Josiane recovers enough to return to the wedding dress shop where she works, she decides to sell her own wedding dress. When a young bride-to-be expresses that she can't afford the dresses she sees, Josiane arranges to have her wedding dress sold to her at a discount. Only then does Josiane discover the girl is marrying the man who Josiane was planning to marry.
