Géographie
La commune est située sur l'île de Södertörn, dans la partie nord-est de la province de Södermanland. À l'est, la commune borde la mer Baltique avec l'archipel de Stockholm. Au sud-ouest se trouve la commune de Nynäshamn, à l'ouest la commune de Botkyrka, au nord-ouest la commune d'Huddinge et au nord-est la commune de Tyresö, toutes dans le comté de Stockholm.
